Ouva partners with HKS architects to create environments for students with autism

We are very excited to be part of a new collaborative program unveiled at Lane Tech High School this year to help students with autism.

The "Sensory Wellbeing Hub," designed by HKS Architects and Citizen HKS, the global platform of HKS created for socially responsible engagement, will help students recover from sensory stressors and allow them to return to the classroom, enabling them to participate in education.

Ouva supplied technology and donated services to help further the understanding of the effect of stimuli on autism. The interactive suite, outfitted with interactive screen, interactive sensors and adaptive light allows healthcare and wellness environments to react to the people, understanding and remembering their preferences based on their response. We believe that this project will highly benefit from Ouva's intelligent tracking capabilities, ultimately allowing the industry to have a better understanding of the impact of the environments they create for this sensitive population.

This physically and digitally interactive environment, the 'Hub' was funded by donations from HKS Architects and HKS employees, the American Society of Interior Designers and the Lane Tech Alumni Association.
