What's the difference between an LED wall and a video wall?
An LED wall uses self-lit LED panels that create a seamless, bezel-free canvas. A video wall usually means tiled LCD displays, where the borders between screens create visible bezels. Ouva can run interactive, immersive experiences on either, but LED is the cleanest choice when you want a bright, continuous lobby-scale surface.
What pixel pitch do I need?
Pixel pitch (the distance between LEDs, measured in millimeters) sets the closest distance at which the image still looks seamless. As a rough guide, the minimum comfortable viewing distance in meters is close to the pitch number — a 2.5mm pitch reads clean from about 2.5m, a 1.5mm pitch from roughly 1.5m. For lobbies and corridors people walk right up to, a finer pitch (1.2–2.5mm) is worth it; for tall atrium walls seen from across a room, a coarser pitch keeps cost in check.
Is it bright enough for a daylit lobby?
Yes. Unlike projection or backlit LCD, every pixel on an LED wall emits its own light, so it stays vivid in direct sun and floor-to-ceiling glass. Indoor fine-pitch panels typically run 600–1,200 nits — several times brighter than a typical TV — and hold color and contrast where other displays wash out. The panels also dim adaptively, so they read clearly at midday and settle to a calm glow after hours.
Who handles installation and warranty?
Large-format LED is a professional install: structural mounting, power, data cabling, and on-site calibration so the tiles read as one seamless image.
