Uptime, Availability & Monitoring
Ouva supports uptime through cloud-hosted delivery, operational monitoring, and support workflows for both browser use and kiosk deployments.
Browser Application Availability
Section titled “Browser Application Availability”The Ouva application is delivered from a managed hosting/CDN stack. Users can access the latest approved build through app.ouva.co without manual local installs.
Kiosk Uptime Scheduling
Section titled “Kiosk Uptime Scheduling”For screen and video-wall deployments, Ouva can run in Chrome kiosk mode 24/7 or on a configured schedule.
- 24/7 mode for continuously available public spaces
- Scheduled uptime windows for facilities that require controlled operating hours
- Restart and maintenance windows to keep devices healthy
Operational Monitoring for Kiosk Deployments
Section titled “Operational Monitoring for Kiosk Deployments”For always-on deployments, monitoring focuses on operational health:
- Device online/offline state
- Display and video-wall signal status
- Kiosk session health (whether the experience is actively running)
- Last-known heartbeat from managed devices
This monitoring is intended for uptime support and does not depend on capturing patient-facing scene content.
Alerting and Response
Section titled “Alerting and Response”When a monitored kiosk or display reports a failure state, support teams can investigate remotely and coordinate onsite steps when needed.
Patch and Maintenance Practices
Section titled “Patch and Maintenance Practices”- Keep browser and OS updates current during scheduled maintenance windows.
- Reboot kiosk devices on a planned cadence to apply updates cleanly.
- Validate display input and wall-controller state after major updates.
Service Expectations
Section titled “Service Expectations”Service-level commitments depend on your support agreement. For details on escalation paths and response windows, contact your Ouva account or support team.
